Dr. Nach Daniel is a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery.
Dr. Daniel earned a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology in 1992 at University of Montreal. He then completed a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology. He then obtained a Doctorate degree in Dental Surgery from the University of Montreal. From there, Dr. Daniel completed a one-year multidisciplinary residency in Dentistry and then started his specialty degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Laval University which he completed in 2006. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dental Specialists of Canada. He then established his private practice of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Moncton and then in Fredericton, specializing in Oral Facial Rehabilitation and Dental Implants.
He has completed advanced training in bone grafting and dental implants (including zygomatic implants) both at the Nobel Biocare Institute in Sweden and the ITI Institute in Switzerland. He currently holds medical staff privileges at the Moncton Hospital where he performs orthognathic and reconstructive surgery as well as treatment of maxillofacial trauma.
He is currently the director of the ECOS Continuing Education Centre providing training in Oral Rehabilitation and Dental Implants. His training facility was recently recognized as one of the North American centers for the All-on-Four technique. In the last 10 years, Dr. Daniel has trained numerous dentist and dental specialist from North America on the All-on-Four technique.
Dr. Daniel is also actively involved in clinical research in collaboration with McGill University and has published numerous scientific articles. Dr. Daniel remains quite involved in the Moncton community and loves to spend time with his family.
Denis joined East Coast Dental Group as the new CEO in September 2020. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in the C-suite of medium and large-sized serviced-based companies. Born and raised in Moncton, NB, Denis’ focus will be to grow East Coast Dental Group while maintaining a patient and employee-focused approach. Leveraging his M&A, operations and finance experience, Denis will be looking to identify dental practices that demonstrate a similar patient and employee-centric focus to join the East Coast Dental Group family. Having spent most of his career in the service industry, Denis understands the importance of customer satisfaction and is confident that the East Coast Dental Group team will continue to deliver top-quality customer service to associates, partners and their teams.
Andrew joined the East Coast Dental Group as the Chief Financial Officer in May 2021. Andrew is responsible for providing support for corporate finance, financial modeling, and general strategy for East Coast Dental Group. His responsibilities also include the assessment of organic and acquisition expansion opportunities. Prior to joining East Coast Dental Group, Andrew was a Senior Manager in Deloitte’s Financial Advisory practice, focusing on corporate finance and M&A Advisory. Andrew also has previous experience in commercial banking and strategy & operations consulting. Andrew is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick (BBA), St. Mary’s University (MBA) and is also a CPA (NS 2011). Andrew lives in Saint John and outside of work loves spending time with family – Kara, Rosie, and Claire.
Originally from Port aux Basques, Newfoundland – she graduated from Mount Allison University with a Bachelors in Commerce, Honors in Economics. She obtained her CPA designation in 2006.
Pam has over 30 years of Accounting experience with the majority of those years in the manufacturing industry. She joined East Coast Dental Group in April 2019 and is looking forward to the challenge of learning more about the dental industry.
She spends time volunteering as Treasurer of the Board of Open Sky, a Non-Profit Cooperative.
Dr. Christian J. Chiasson has been practicing dentistry since 2000. In 2004 he established his private practice at the Elmwood Dental Centre in Moncton. Since then, his team has constantly grown and rapidly evolved into a multi-dentist, multi-practice operation.
He is passionate about providing the best quality of care and patient experience by seeking mutually beneficial ways to improve everyone’s experience, and by pursuing his mission to network and build connections amongst the dentists, dental teams, and offices. He is part of onboarding initiatives to incorporate new dentists in the team, helping new graduates to connect with mentorship, as well as experienced dentists to share their knowledge with the group and develop talent.
Dr. Chiasson is experienced in the acquisition process including due diligence and operational integration for new partnerships. He is well versed in the acquisition process, regulatory matters, risk management, group dynamics and provides guidance in the business operations.
He attended the Université de Moncton where he earned a diploma in Health Sciences, then he obtained a Doctorate in Dentistry from the Université Laval in 2000. Dr. Chiasson is proficient in all aspects of general dentistry and regularly attends numerous courses and study clubs on a wide variety of dental topics.
He currently holds privileges at the Moncton Hospital and Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. He is a member of the Moncton Dental Society, the New Brunswick Dental Society and the Canadian Dental Association. He has sat on the New Brunswick Dental Society’s Discipline Committee and he is an active member of the NBDS’s Economic Committee who establishes the provincial dental fee guide and collaborates to the economic survey. These reports are designed to assist dentists with the economic aspects of their practice.
Charity is Director of Operations for East Coast Dental Group.
Originally from the Fredericton area, she moved to Ontario and graduated as a dental assistant in 1996. After 1 year of assisting, she made the jump on the administration side of dentistry and had the opportunity to work in Ontario for several large group practices. Over the years, she has done the roles of reception, hygiene co-ordinator, treatment co-ordinator and office manager.
In 2005, she decided to move back to her home province of New Brunswick and started working for Dr. Suzanne Drapeau-McNally in 2010 as Office Manager.
Outside of the workplace, she enjoys spending time with her horse and dog. She also love spending time outdoors and reading.
Kimberly Ritchie is an experienced human resource professional specializing in talent acquisition and leadership development. She believes that a supportive and inclusive corporate culture that recognizes the value of employee development is fundamental for operational excellence and growth.
In addition to leading novel approaches to talent attraction, she enjoys building and delivering learning and development programs that create measurable change.
Kimberly holds a business degree (BBA) from UNB and has attained certifications in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt) and various behavioral and communication models. In addition, she recently completed all academic requirements for her Master’s in Arts, Counselling Psychology (MACP) through Yorkville University.
Acknowledged for outstanding performance throughout her career, she has been selected for and has completed various leadership programs and has attended multiple leadership recognition events.
Kimberly lives in Quispamsis, New Brunswick, with her husband, Bruce. They have six university-aged children, and like many other couples at this stage of life, the reality of becoming empty nesters comes and goes. They play music together and enjoy an active lifestyle that includes golf, snowmobiling, and travel.
Dorothy is an Advisor for East Coast Dental Group. Originally from Halifax, she moved to Moncton in 1983 where she worked in both the Service Industry and Healthcare Industry. Dorothy has a successful and proven record as a senior HR leader in a multi-disciplinary role. She is a strategic planner with a passion for people. Experienced in managing change and building and maintaining effective working relationships.
Dorothy is certified in Coaching and Behavior Analysis and is currently working on completing her Masters. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, helping those in need, and meeting new people and exploring new places.
Laurie is Special Advisor to the CEO, bringing over 30 years of unique dental industry education and experience. She began working with Dr. Daniel in 2013 and was part of the initial development and early success of our East Coast Dental Group family.
Her focus is to facilitate specific projects within the group as a team lead and support the development of specific markets as we continue our strategic growth plan for Atlantic Canada. Her diverse experience in leadership roles has proven vital; from the fit up of clinics, acquisitions, operational management, to succession planning. Having lived the day-to-day of working in a dental clinic as a dental assistant, office admin and manager, she gets it!!
Laurie approaches each team and projects true to her core values; act with integrity, respect the opinions of others and create an environment where people can grow and focus on exceptional patient care. She enjoys life in the Maritimes, growing up and living in Nova Scotia with her family.
Originally from Ottawa, she moved to Calgary in 2001 where she worked in the Automotive and Oil and Gas industries. She was responsible for payroll and benefits administration, implementations, payroll accounting and reporting.
Amanda is a Certified Payroll Practitioner and will work toward obtaining her Payroll Management certification.
In 2017, she decided to move back to the East Coast to be closer to family. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family.
He attended the ‘’Université de Moncton’’ for his bachelor’s degree in Marketing and graduated in 2011. He followed that by earning his Master’s degree (MBA) at the ‘’Université de Sherbrooke’’ and ESCEM in Poitiers (France) in International Management in 2012.
J-F has worked with some national and international brands throughout his career. He has a strong understanding of branding, advertising, and marketing in big and small markets. He is responsible for practice development/growth and implementing strategies that will benefit our clinics but also making the patient experience more enjoyable. He is also responsible for organizing all our events company-wide.
Jessica is responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations and support for all the dental clinics as well as doing the financial reporting. She works hand in hand with the CFO to ensure the efficiency of processes and compliance with accounting principles.
Jessica obtained her Accounting diploma in 2009 and had the opportunity to work in various industries such as automotive, pharmaceuticals and logistics. Always being the main source of accounting in all her roles, she gained several types of knowledge and experiences throughout her 10+ years in the field.
In her free time, she enjoys being active and spending time outdoors.
Shelley works closely with the CAO and accounting team to prepare and review the financial statements for the clinics as well as support for the day-to-day accounting operations.
Shelley has over 36 years of experience in accounting, working in various roles within finance and business administration. She is a graduate of the NBCC Business Technology program specializing in Accounting. She began her career in accounting with Co-op Atlantic in 1985 and worked in various roles within the finance department for the next 18 years. In 2003, she left for the position of Accountant and Office Manager for Stantec Architecture (formerly Architecture 2000 Inc).
Shelley joined East Coast Dental Group in April 2021 and is looking forward to learning about the dental industry and ECDG’s exciting, fast-paced growth within this industry.
Vickie is responsible for financial reporting for the dental practices and other holdings, support for the practice network, as well as management of the Accounting team and daily operations of the accounting department.
Vickie obtained her Accounting diploma from Oulton’s Business College and began her accounting career at the offices of Edward R. Fowler, Chartered Accountants. Working in public accounting for Mr. Fowler for 17 years, she gained valuable experience and a solid knowledge base in all aspects of accounting. After leaving the offices of Mr. Fowler, Vickie began working in the accounting department of an automotive parts warehouse, and subsequently as the Staff Accountant for a Moncton-based IT company. After 5 years with this group, she returned to public accounting for a short time.
She has volunteered with a local Air Cadet Squadron as Treasurer of the Sponsoring Committee and also held the position of Director of Finance for a local Junior A Hockey Team, with whom she was “billet Mom” to numerous players during a 15 year span.
Her first love is accounting, her second is hockey. It was through her association with the Dieppe Commandos Jr. A Hockey team that she met Dr. Daniel. She began working for Dr. Daniel in 2015 and her adventure in Dentistry began. She learned a lot about this fast-paced industry in the first couple of years and as the dental network grew, so did her Accounting Team. Together, they created policies and procedures for the day-to-day financial management of the dental practices.
Vickie is excited to have been a key member in the formation and structuring of East Coast Dental Group and for the growth opportunities available for the Accounting department.
Krista is responsible for the day-to-day accounting needs of the various dental practices. This includes payables, receivables, setting up new accounts and various other duties that facilitate a smooth flowing operation. She is also a support to the accounting manager to aid in whatever area necessary. Krista helps liaise with the dental clinics administrative staff to aid them with questions they may have concerning reporting. Within the scope of her responsibilities is the monthly financial reporting of Revenue & Expenses for all the dental practices with alerts/reasons to anything that falls outside the “norm”.
Krista also helps train and orientate any junior team members that come on board. She is detail-oriented and results-driven so enjoys the problem-solving aspect of her job very much. As new clinics come on board with the company Krista helps facilitate in this area by setting up vendor accounts, sage company files and making sure the receivables reporting is standardized. Krista adapts easily to change which is a great quality because as the company continues to grow. Especially, as her responsibilities continue to grow with it!
Krista spent many years as a Medical Laboratory Technologist in the hospital and since leaving that field in 2000 she has done many other things that have helped prepare her for the current role she is in. Working as a regional manager for an international weight loss company gave her skills in training, budgeting, financial reporting and effective time management. She also worked as an Executive Director for a not-for-profit agency which gave her many more skills in financial reporting & working with Sage. Her last job before coming to East Coast Dental Group was an office coordinator which included the majority of the financial tasks for that company. During this time, she took formal courses in Excel & Sage Accounting which helped polish the skills she had already acquired.
Carmen brings with her over 15 years of administration experience to the table with vast experience in scheduling and correspondence. She attended Oulton College and graduated from the Medical Office Administration program in 1996.
After graduation, she worked as a personal banking officer at RBC Royal Bank from 1996-2009 managing personal banking portfolios. She has since worked in orthodontic and oral surgery offices as an office administrator.
In addition to her duties as Executive Assistant, Carmen also enjoys spending as much time as possible with her family.
